Footy returns to Tasmania as North’s AFL and AFLW sides take to the field this long weekend.

Coming off their third AFLW win in a row, the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos face the reigning premiers Adelaide on Saturday at 3.10pm (AEDT).

Over 5,000 fans were in attendance when the Roos last played at the venue, and another big crowd is expected for a clash between two finals fancies.

It looms as a season-defining game for both sides, with North sitting second, and the Crows third, on the Conference A ladder.

Monday’s Labour Day public holiday provides Tasmanian fans the chance to watch the AFL squad in action, against Sydney.

It’s North’s final pre-season game, with several players on the comeback trail hoping to prove their fitness ahead of Round 1.

The Kingston Twins Ovals’ fixture gets underway at 1.40pm (AEDT).
