Having beaten some quality AFL-listed players this year, Max Warren is the Roosters’ go-to man for a stopping role.

The North defender could be called on again on Sunday to battle dangerous Northern Blues’ forward Jeff Garlett.

The Roosters’ midfield will have a huge task on their hands too if they are going to get the four points.

Returning Carlton-listed players Patrick Cripps and David Ellard are set to join Dennis Armfield and Kane Lucas in the centre at Eureka Stadium.

Trent Dumont and Liam Anthony will have plenty of work to do, while ruckman Eric Wallace comes up against another player with AFL experience – Cameron Wood.

Mitch Wilkins will start on the bench but may spend time forward again after booting two goals last week.

North Ballarat is in need of a win to stake its claim for a top eight position, having slipped to tenth on the ladder. The Blues sit seventh.

Werribee broke into the top four last week with victory over the Roosters, and is now just a win off top spot.

The Tigers take on the sixth-placed Magpies on Saturday in what looms as a massive clash.

With players the quality of Alex Fasolo and Ben Reid at its disposal, Collingwood will be hoping for a win on home soil.

John Lamont will look to Mason Wood and Kayne Turner in attack, while Majak Daw and Brodie Grundy’s ruck duel could go a long way towards deciding a winner.

Kieran Harper is edging closer to a senior return as he continues to build form, while Taylor Hine hasn’t put a foot wrong over the last month.
