As with the mid-priced players at other positions, the following midfielders offer great fantasy value in 2014. Most of the following group have previously shown an ability to perform at a level much higher than their starting price tag suggests. Priced at an average of 75 or less, they could all average more than 90.
It’s unlikely they will improve to the premium level, however they will make the team plenty of cash over the first two months of the year. They should also score reasonably well in the early part of the season, allowing us to upgrade other players and still put up some good fantasy totals.
Changes to AFL Fantasy Classic pricing in 2014 (where rookies are significantly more expensive than they have been in the past) means that we may be coming back to this list later on to complete the team.
