Ben Cunnington has had a tough year. Thrown around the ground in the AFL - from the midfield to the wing and even down back, he just hasn’t been able to get settled.

On Sunday in the VFL, he was back where he likes it best; in the midfield, and for North Ballarat and he relished the opportunity.

The 20 year-old was a standout with 30 disposals (14 of those contested), six clearances, two goals and eight tackles.

Cunnington wasn’t the only North player to dominate with Cameron Richardson picking up 31 touches, 10 marks, four tackles and a goal in the 11-point win over Box Hill.

Daniel Pratt collected the ball 29 times and kicked it inside fifty on seven occasions while Cruize Garlett continued his great run of form with 26 possessions (16 contested) and 10 clearances.

Aaron Mullett’s development is on a rapid incline and the youngster had 23 touches and 6 tackles to his name. Also helping get the Roosters over the line was Lindsay Thomas who kicked three goals to go along with 18 disposals and seven tackles.

The hard-working Brayden Norris’ 16 possessions included 10 handball receives while Aaron Black proved to be handy up forward with 11 possessions and a goal.

Cam Delaney had six disposals and four spoils down back, while Marcus White followed up a great game last week with a solid 18 possessions and eight marks but copped a nasty knock on his foot.
