North Melbourne coach Brad Scott has confirmed Hamish McIntosh and Lindsay Thomas will both spend at least another week at VFL level.

"They're the two that our supporters may be thinking might play this week, but we don't think they are quite ready yet," Scott said at his media conference on Thursday

McIntosh has played four games in the VFL since returning from an achilles injury, and was terrific in the second half for Werribee on Sunday.

"We know that he's certainly a player capable of being in our best 22, but right at the moment we're happy with the structure we've got."

Thomas has booted seven goals in his two matches at North Ballarat after he was omitted from the senior side in round 17.
