With Jamie Macmillan basking in the spotlight after kicking a miraculous goal at training in Hobart, Aaron Mullett has launched a stinging rebuke of his team-mate and ‘former friend’.

Mullett claims Macmillan has shown no appreciation for the goal assist and says if it wasn’t for him, it would never have happened or become a YouTube sensation with close to 50,000 hits in less than a week.

Reluctant to speak on camera, Mullett eventually stopped to reflect on the must see goal with kangaroos.com.au and went on to share his anger and disappointment.

The upgraded rookie also expressed sympathy for veteran defender Michael Firrito who was the player responsible for starting the chain of events which led to the freak goal.

Mullett was the player in the video who volleyed the ball to Macmillan and helped keep it in the air, but according to the 20-year old, Macmillan’s selfishness prevented anyone else from receiving any credit for the unbelievable feat.
