Rugged up and ready to brave the cold, North Melbourne’s players received a pleasant surprise upon their arrival in Hobart on Friday - a warm gleaming sun and bright blue skies.

Revelling in the chance to test the surface at Blundstone Arena, the Kangaroos also got a sneak peek at their opponents on the track. The Eagles’ light preparations were watched keenly by coach Brad Scott.

Then it was North’s turn and hundreds of excited spectators greeted the team as it completed a short skills session at the club’s home away from home.

Among those taking to the field was Ben Cunnington, who despite being ruled out through suspension, worked hard throughout the session. Hamish McIntosh’s appearance was another positive, with the big man moving freely during ruck-work and kicking drills.

Following training, supporters embraced the opportunity to meet their heroes and obtain autographs and photos from the players.
