1997
In: Jason McCartney
Out: Mark Stevens (Adelaide)

McCartney spent the past seven years bouncing in and out of Collingwood and Adelaide's sides before he was traded to North.

Mark Stevens was a victim of circumstance at the Kangaroos, often behind the likes of Wayne Carey and Corey McKernan for time in the forward line. The end result was probably a win-win for both teams.

McCartney was a lynchpin in the defensive 50 for the final years of the 90's and into the early 2000's. He was heartbreakingly suspended in the preliminary final in 1999 and missed out on the Grand Final win a week later.

Stevens spent eight years at Adelaide, playing 101 games.
