Round 9: 24 possessions, 1 goal in 16-point win over Brisbane

kangaroos.com.au says

After playing the last 13 games of 2011, Greenwood was on the outer to begin 2012, missing the first four games. However his first appearance was fleeting as Greenwood was the substitute in Round 5 against the Gold Coast.

He gradually worked his way into a starting 21 position and played four consecutive games from Round 8-12. 24 possessions against Brisbane in Round 9 earned him two Brownlow votes but after Gary Ablett ran riot in Round 12, He was demoted back to Werribee and was unable to recapture a senior spot.

His form in the VFL was solid, however he had a niggling foot injury at the wrong time of the year.
