While many opt to ease into the New Year, North Melbourne’s players won’t be receiving any sympathy on Wednesday as they are put to the test on the track.
It won’t just be their skills that are under the scrutiny of the coaches though with another two-kilometre time trial scheduled - the aim to measure just how far the players have come in their pre-season preparations.
Nathan Grima took the mantle as the club’s best performer before Christmas, but he’s sure to face plenty of competition from the likes of Will Sierakowski, Lachlan Hansen and Ryan Bastinac.
