Manager of Education Programs Mairead Hannan said seeing smiling faces in the new and fully interactive classroom was just reward for months of hard work.
"We've had six months to imagine what it could be and write up what it could be, but today was finally the day when it was all put into action. It's great to know that the kids had a great time and learned a lot," Hannan told kangaroos.com.au
As expected, the classroom's Apple Mac computers proved a big hit with the kids, while much was also learned through a local history lesson.
"The children’s school is just up the road so they've now got an insight into the connection between the North Melbourne Football Club and the local community."
The kids participated in group activities and were even given a creative project of their own which involved using digital cameras to film and upload video of North Melbourne stars such as Daniel Wells and Bren Harvey on the training track.
"I think the kids had their eyes opened to many things today and really enjoyed themselves."
Interest has been so high in the club's new programs that the classroom has already been booked out until the end of the year.
"It's fantastic that we've had so many requests from schools from all around Melbourne. We really look forward to more kids enjoying these fantastic facilities in the near future."
It estimated that up to three thousand children will walk through the Huddle’s door in the coming months.
