North Melbourne's original and longest running coterie group, the Northerners has continued its incredible support of the club by contributing a record amount in 2011.

Caroline Carnegie, the Northerners' president, along with committee members Michael Williams, Julie Allen, Peter Sturton-Gill, Peter Williams and Mick McMillan presented a cheque to club CEO Eugene Arocca at Aegis Park on Monday.

“We are extremely grateful for the wonderful contribution made by the Northerners each year,” Arocca told kangaroos.com.au.

“Caroline (Carnegie) and her committee are to be congratulated on a marvelous effort and on behalf of everyone at the club, we thank them for their hard work and passion.”

“I also want to acknowledge and thank Caroline for her drive and leadership during the eight years that she has served as president of the coterie.”

The Northerners is an ideal option for supporters wishing to increase their level of support as a member of North Melbourne.

Established in 1967, the exclusive group prides itself on loyalty, camaraderie, commitment and passion, with its members offering the club professional skills, mentoring and financial support.
