In his fifth year, Tarrant was finally afforded a run of injury-free games and showed the world why the club had so much faith in the key position player.

With a return against Gold Coast in Round 12, Tarrant came into the side just as it started its run of nine wins in 10 games. He was a huge part of the forward structure, kicking three or more goals in six of those games.

While he faded towards the end of the season, his efforts during North's finals push cemented his standing as a crucial part of the 22 in future years.
