Majak Daw's emergence as one of the most popular players at North Melbourne has been further enhanced after his brilliant running goal in the VFL was voted the kangaroos.com.au Play of the Year.
When voting closed as the clock struck midnight on January 1, Daw's showstopper had more than 25% of the vote to finish ahead of Kieran Harper's first career goal against the Power.
Daw's effort against the Magpies back in April has received a remarkable 65,000 views via the club's YouTube channel.
The highlight reel didn't stop there for the Sudanese-rookie, his match-winner against Bendigo in round 19 rounding out the top three plays of 2011.
