Speedster Atu Bosenavulagi is looking to the make the most of his opportunity at North Melbourne.

The 20-year-old joined the club via the trade period last week, and can’t wait to get into pre-season training.

“Seeing North with a lot of good, young players and good leadership there, I thought I’d like to be part of it and show what I can do. That’s why I took the opportunity,” Bosenavulagi told SEN.

“(It’s) a club that’s growing, having good people there and good facilities.

“I knew a lot of people there, and I was just glad to see they were going in the right direction and having a lot of young players there. It’s definitely looking good.”

Bosenavulagi played three games for Collingwood in 2020, and had 16 disposals on debut in round one.

Able to play at half-back, through the middle and in attack, he provides versatility across multiple lines for North.

While a spot in the front half is likely, at least initially, the youngster is ready to play anywhere.

“I’d have to improve my fitness to get there, but I’d have the traits for it,” Bosenavulagi said of a potential role in the midfield.
