Some of North Melbourne’s brightest emerging stars hit the track first on Wednesday morning, as training officially kicked off for 2021.

In a sign of things to come, Bailey Scott, Luke Davies-Uniacke, Flynn Perez, Jaidyn Stephenson and Curtis Taylor were among those to step onto Arden Street for the first time this year.

On the agenda early, skills, with precision ball-movement between the Roos’ young guns.

Next, work in close, under the watchful eye of new coach David Noble.

Simpkin loomed large in the drills, seeing the benefits of another big summer in the gym.

The draftees hit the ground together, with the likes of Will Phillips, Charlie Lazzaro and Eddie Ford looking more at home with every session.

It was a return to the club's traditional home for the senior players too, with Jack Ziebell, Robbie Tarrant, Ben Cunnington, Kayne Turner and Todd Goldstein among those back out there.

While the session was a light one for groups, Cunnington cast a welcome sight after a largely interrupted 2020 campaign.

North boasting close to a clean bill of health with a little over a month until the pre-season clash against Adelaide in Hobart.
