The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos are hopeful of regaining Jess Duffin for this weekend’s AFLW clash.

While the fixture is yet to be released, coach Darren Crocker hinted Duffin would be a certain inclusion if fit.

“Hopefully Duff will be right and put her hand up for selection next week,” Crocker told the media on Sunday.

“She’s just had a little adductor strain that’s lingered a little bit longer than we thought it would.

“She’s trained pretty strongly on Thursday night, but hopefully we can get a full week of training under her belt and be in line for selection.”

Duffin missed the entire 2020 campaign after giving birth to her first child.

The versatile defender was a star in the Roos’ first AFLW season, among the league leaders for intercept marks and disposals.
