David Noble says Ben Cunnington will make his return for the Good Friday clash against the Western Bulldogs.

"Cunnington will be right next week," Noble said following Saturday night's match.

"I spoke to him today, so he'll be ready for Good Friday."

Cunnington will play his first game since round five of 2020, having overcome back issues, and more recently a concussion suffered at training.

North Melbourne could also welcome back Luke McDonald (quad) and Trent Dumont (calf) in the coming weeks.

"In the next few weeks we hope that we'll be able to put a bit more rigour around those young ones we've got, that are learning the caper really well as well," Noble said.

"We've been really pleased with how they've (the young players) come through, but we'll be able to add some more support around those guys, particularly through the middle.

"That's a really good sign for us moving forward."
