Colonial Brewing Co. has signed on with North Melbourne as its official beer and cider partner until at least the end of 2023.
The three-year sponsorship agreement will see Colonial Brewing Co. serve up beverages at North’s AFL Corporate Functions, AFLW and VFL games, as well as key events including the prestigious Grand Final Breakfast and Syd Barker medal.
“We’re thrilled to have Colonial Brewing Co on board with us,” North CEO, Ben Amarfio, said.
“We pride ourselves on the experiences we provide for our fans, members and corporate partners, and we are excited for Colonial Brewing Co. to be a key part of this.”
Colonial Brewing Co. is a wholly independent Australian owned brewery that first opened its doors in Margaret River in 2004.
Since then Colonial Brewing Co. has grown into a national brand and found an East Coast home in Port Melbourne.
Specialising in uncomplicated and approachable beers, Kangaroos’ fans will now be able to enjoy a range of hand-crafted beers and Cold Pressed Apple Ciders at games and beyond.
“Colonial is a neighbour of ours from Port Melbourne and we look forward to our members and supporters enjoying a great choice of their handcrafted brews and ciders,” Amarfio said.
“Being just seven minutes down the road from North Melbourne’s home ground at Arden St, we’re able to offer supporters a venue to call home after games while promoting local tourism and support for Port Melbourne businesses,” Colonial Brewing Co, managing director, Lawrence Dowd said.
As an independent and Australian owned brewery, Dowd spoke about the important role sport plays in local communities and the shared excitement to once again be involved with the national sport.
“We’re excited to partner with North Melbourne as we have a similar vision and set of values, specifically in terms of our commitment to Australian sport and how we can use the power of our organisations to create a positive difference in local communities,” he said.
