Taken with pick 56 in the 2021 National Draft, the former Western Jet has enjoyed a strong run of form in the VFL, playing a major role in North Melbourne’s three consecutive wins at reserves level.

Ford has proved a dangerous option in the forward line, booting 6 goals in his last three games, as well as averaging 14.3 disposals and 4.4 marks for the season.

VFL coach Leigh Adams praised Ford’s character and work ethic to get to this point.

“This bloke, we all love him for the way he goes off the field,” Adams told the playing group.

“He’s got a great humour to him, but the work he’s been doing, the hard work, to get himself to a debut has been fantastic.”
