Bowey joined the Roos as an injury replacement player following Grace Campbell’s ACL tear in the pre-season. She has been on the Roos’ radar for some time and was really close to joining the list through the draft period. Bowey joins from Collingwood’s VFL team where she had a really consistent year, with her running patterns on the wing, work-rate and ability to cover the ground really impressing. She connects well across the field, with her ability to break the lines and take the game forward being features of her game.

Bowey comes from a strong footballing family, with brother Jake currently at Melbourne, and her father Brett played 85 games for St Kilda.
