North Melbourne Werribee has finished its 2026 VFLW home and away campaign with a 30-point victory over the Box Hill Hawks on Saturday morning.

The Kangaroos got off to a hot start, kicking the opening two majors of the game.

The Hawks managed to get back into the contest, and the two teams went back-and-forth in the second quarter resulting in the Roos holding a one-point advantage going into the main break.

The home side felt the pressure in the third quarter and found themselves down by a goal at three-quarter time.

The last term was all Kangaroos as they stormed home, kicking six unanswered goals to run away with it.

The final score at Arden Street Oval saw the Roos win 11.2 (68) to 5.8 (38) and sees them book a preliminary final spot.

Young AFLW-listed ruck Maddison Torpey dominated, notching 23 hitouts, 15 disposals and a goal. Her work in the air, split with her partner ruck Lauren Jatczak (21 hitouts) was too much for the Hawks.

Defender Sarah Wall was solid behind the ball, collecting eight disposals and five intercept possessions. Fellow AFLW-listed young gun Shauna McElligott also showed flashes with her eight disposals and four tackles.

Zoe Savarirayan starred up forward, booting four goals. Three of those came in the first term, including a classy dribbler.

Superstar Alana Barba (31 disposals, 10 tackles, one goal) dominated in the midfield, using her relentless pressure and effort to win the ball consistently. Fellow midfielder Ava Seton kicked two majors in the last term to go along with 14 disposals and 12 tackles.
