As the season comes ever closer, there are a few things that need to be ticked off. We’ve had the draft, pre-season is officially underway, and almost all the girls are back and raring to go.

After a successful draft night that saw six new faces enter the doors of Arden Street, new numbers now need to be assigned.

North Melbourne’s first selection in the 2021 AFLW Draft, Tess Craven, will wear the number five, most recently worn by former best and fairest third-place finisher Kate Gillespie-Jones.

Tara Slender will be hoping the number 13 is more lucky than unlucky, as she takes on the previously vacant number.

Tasmanian Ella Maurer is the new guardian of number 19, taking it on after Jas Grierson’s departure to the GWS Giants.

Perri King will wear the number 24, most recently worn by Tahni Nestor.

Former Bulldog Kim Rennie takes the number 26, having worn 24 at her previous club.
