Defender Claire Mahony will face a fitness test to determine her availability for Sunday’s clash with Adelaide at North Hobart Oval.
Mahony was a late withdrawal ahead of Round 10's match against Essendon after spraining her right ankle towards the end of Friday’s training session.
“Unfortunately, we were unable to get Claire’s swelling down in the short time she had,” senior physiotherapist Billy Williams said.
“We ultimately made the call to withdraw her, but we expect her to train this week and be available for selection against the Crows.”
Mahony's fellow back Nicole Bresnehan is pushing towards her long-awaited return to competitive action.
A 2024 premiership player, Bresnehan hasn’t featured for North Melbourne since Round 1, 2025, due to an ACL tear followed by a calf issue.
She will look to fully reintegrate into training as she targets selection in the coming weeks.
“Nicole’s been fantastic in how she’s approached her rehab,” Williams said.
