North Melbourne will throw its support behind the Brisbane Lions Community Relief Flood Match this weekend.

This Saturday night’s Round 3 match at the Gabba will be dedicated to raising funds for those in the Queensland football community severely affected by the recent floods.

Jack Ziebell, Hugh Greenwood, Ben McKay and Josh Walker will donate their match-worn boots from the Round 3 clash to the Lions' online fundraising auction.

The boots will go live during Saturday night’s match, and fans can bid on them from the opening bounce. All funds raised from the sale of the boots will go directly to the Queensland football community who have been affected by the floods.

The Lions will work with AFL Queensland and flood affected community clubs to fund player registrations, boots and equipment for the 2022 season to make it easier for families to get back to doing what they love.

Ziebell said the players' donation is the least they could do to help the south east Queensland community.

"The south east Queensland community has suffered such devastation. We have watched from afar and can’t begin to imagine how difficult it has been," he said.

"When the opportunity to be involved came up, we jumped at it.

"Local footy clubs are the lifeblood of the community, and we hope this small gesture goes a long way in helping to rebuild clubs that have lost everything."

Fans can get involved by participating in the 50/50 charity raffle on the night. Just look out for the sellers in green, buy a ticket, and half the proceeds raised will go to the flood relief campaign with the other half to be won by a lucky participant on the night.
