A return to the middle of the ground resulted in a return to form for Todd Goldstein, with the veteran being named among the game's best performers from the clash against Carlton.

Goldstein was awarded one vote in the race for AFLCA Champion Player of the Year for his efforts in the ruck as he put in a dominant display against an undersized Blues side.

Having played forward for much of the season so far, Goldstein returned to his favoured ruck position largely due to the foot injury suffered by teammate Tristan Xerri in the lead-up to the clash.

The all-time AFL hitouts leader finished with 18 disposals and eight clearances as he returned to his best form. He also dominated the hitout count with 36 for the game.
