Richmond is hopeful both Trent Cotchin and Dion Prestia will be fit to take on North Melbourne on Sunday.

Cotchin is expected to train this week after banging his knee into the goalpost against Collingwood a fortnight ago, and missing one match.

Prestia has been cleared of a major tear to his right calf, having sat out the latter stages of the Tigers' win over Fremantle.

"He's (Prestia) not too bad … it will depend how he pulls up tomorrow; if he's sore, he'll miss, if he's not too bad, he'll have a crack at it," Richmond football manager Neil Balme told AFL.com.au.

"He feels reasonably good but we're reasonably conservative with these guys.

"He's not ruled out completely."

Shaun Grigg appears likely to miss another week due to hamstring soreness.
