A massive clash at the 'G awaits the Kangaroos this week, with the team in royal blue and white set to face an imposing Melbourne outfit.

After such a decisive Round 1 victory last Saturday that saw the squad depart Blundstone Arena unscathed, coach Darren Crocker could look to operate with the same starting-21 in Round 2 as he did against the Suns.

Midfielders Ella Maurer, Perri King and Hannah Bowey, and skilful small forward Zoe Savarirayan, have been progressing strongly in training sessions and may be introduced to the senior line-up soon.

Ruck Grace Matser, who was taken with pick No.51 in the draft, is another young Roo who will need to bide their time for now, considering the form displayed by Emma King and Kim Rennie last week.

Sophie Abbatangelo (managed), Alice O'Loughlin (managed), and Danielle Hardiman (knee) will return to action in a scratch match on Sunday while 2022 draftee Cassidy Mailer, who is recovering from bone stress, is still 3-4 weeks away.
