Zoe Savarirayan will become Shinboner No.51 when she runs out onto the Swinburne Centre for her debut on Sunday evening against Sydney.

The 17-year-old Wesley College student was a gifted soccer player for Wesley Firsts Soccer and the Bulleen Lions in the National Premier League but decided to commit to the AFLW earlier this year.

The young gun found out she would be making her AFLW debut on Thursday when her sister Priya crashed the team meeting to deliver the good news.

Savarirayan was signed as a rookie prior to Season 7 after impressing the club with her athleticism and clean hands.

Set to function as a small forward on gameday, Savarirayan will add plenty of energy at ground level and will be a constant threat around goals given her ability to manufacture scoring opportunities.

She will become the seventh debutant for the club this season, following in the footsteps of Taylah Gatt, Erika O'Shea, Vikki Wall, Charli Granville, Sophia McCarthy and Ella Maurer.
