First-to-fourth-year players officially returned to Arden Street on Monday morning for their first session under senior coach Alastair Clarkson.

Second-year father-son selection Jackson Archer was able to make his mark early, taking out the 1.8km shuttle run.

Archer chalked up three matches in his debut season last year, averaging 11 disposals and 3.3 tackles per game off half-back.

Small forward Jack Mahony finished the shuttle run in second, while 19-year-old Miller Bergman finished third.

Fifth-year Roo Lachie Young and Curtis Taylor, who both enjoyed breakout 2021 campaigns, finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Joining the first-to-fourth-year group for the pre-season’s opening session were the experienced group of Jack Ziebell, Ben McKay, Hugh Greenwood, Aiden Bonar, Jaidyn Stephenson, Luke Davies-Uniacke and Tristan Xerri.
