Premiership defender Nicole Bresnehan has been named to play her first AFLW game since Round 1, 2025 as North Melbourne prepares to face Richmond in its final match of the home and away season.
Bresnehan, who is a member of the Kangaroos' leadership group, missed the majority of last season due to an ACL injury before sustaining a calf strain in early September this year, delaying her comeback.
She's joined in the side by fellow inclusions Eilish Sheerin and Abby Favell.
Eliza Shannon (concussion), Tessa Boyd (managed) and Maddison Torpey (omitted) will all miss Saturday's clash at Windy Hill.
Three-time premiership ruck Kim Rennie is locked in to make her 100th AFLW appearance, while star onballer and fellow premiership Roo Ruby Tripodi is set to notch 50 League games.Â
Torpey, Kristie-Lee Weston-Turner and Emma King are North Melbourne's three emergencies.
