North Melbourne has selected Brayden George with its third pick in the 2022 NAB AFL Draft.

Taken with pick No.26, Brayden George from the Murray Bushrangers arrives at Arden Street as a mercurial medium forward with a knack for knowing where the goals are.

North Melbourne has now added George, forward Harry Sheezel (pick No.3) and midfielder George Wardlaw (pick No.4) to its evolving list.

A highly touted attacking player with eye-catching speed and power, George was pinned to be taken in the top-10 during the early stages of draft conversation before an untimely ACL injury saw him devastatingly sidelined.

Although he's expected to miss most of what will be his debut season at the club, George's upside as a damaging forward-half prospect that can flex his strength in the midfield was too impressive to disregard.

Hailing from Girgarre in northern Victoria, George booted 18 goals from eight games for the Bushrangers this season, including a season-opening bag of five in Round 1 against Gippsland and an even larger bag of six a month later against GWV.
