North Melbourne has made just one change to the side that thrashed Brisbane, adding Michael Firrito at the expense of Scott McMahon.

Firrito’s inclusion comes after he sat out last week, with the defender set to line up for game 215 on Friday night.

The number 11’s experience will be vital against a dangerous forward setup, boasting Tom Hawkins, Jordan Murdoch and a resting ruckman (Hamish McIntosh or Dawson Simpson), among some dynamic smalls.

Remarkably, Firrito is one of just five players in the North 22 to have tasted success at Simonds Stadium, back in Round 5 of 2007.

Despite being tipped as a likely return, Aaron Mullett has been overlooked for selection after missing as a late withdrawal last week.

Mason Wood edges ever closer to a debut, named as an emergency after another four goal haul for Werribee. The 2012 draftee is currently the leading goal-kicker in the VFL.

McMahon and Liam Anthony have also been named as emergencies.

For Geelong, Matthew Stokes and Jesse Stringer come in for Taylor Hunt and the suspended Steve Johnson.
