With the 2012 Trade Period currently underway, kangaroos.com.au takes a look back at some of North Melbourne's best trades since the National Draft was introduced.

1990
In: Mark Roberts (Brisbane)
Out: Pick 47 (Luke Chambers)
After 59 games in four seasons at the Brisbane Bears, Roberts came to North for pick 47 in what became a steal.
Roberts became an integral part of the Kangaroos side after managing just 13 games in his first two seasons at Aegis Park. Ahead of his time, the man called the ‘fridge’ was one of the first players to line up as a tall forward and also be used as a mobile ruckman.
Picking up Roberts and only giving away pick 47 was the highlight of the year's trade and draft period for North, with only one draft pick (35, Stuart Anderson) and one other trade (Peter Mann for Matt Clape) ending up playing senior games for the club.
Brisbane selected Luke Chambers who didn’t play a senior game.
