North Melbourne has set a new membership record ahead of its Member Appreciation Round, with 50,348 members in 2023.

This is the second year the club has recorded more than 50,000 members after reaching the milestone for the first time in 2022, and the third consecutive year it has achieved record membership numbers, surpassing last year’s total of 50,191.

"On behalf of everyone at the club, thank you to all 50,348 of you for your support in 2023," North Melbourne chief executive officer Jennifer Watt said.

"In a challenging year for the club, our members continue to stick by us, showing once again they are among the most passionate and loyal fans in the competition.

"To have set a new membership record in each of the past three seasons is a significant achievement and a great show of belief from our fans in the direction of the club.

"This continued support from our members is so important as we look to build sustained success across both our men’s and women’s football programs and bolster our position off the field, too.

"We have two home games remaining for the AFL season and five across the AFLW season, including tomorrow’s match at Marvel Stadium, which we have dedicated to our members.

"We are pleased to celebrate this membership milestone in 2023, on the eve of our Member Appreciation Round.

"We look forward to seeing as many of our members there as we say thank you for their support this season and farewell club champion Ben Cunnington in his final game."
