North Melbourne's VFL side faces a do-or-die scenario heading into the final round of the home and away season.
The Kangaroos will meet Richmond at the Swinburne Centre on Sunday afternoon with both clubs fighting for a position in the inaugural Wildcard weekend.
The Tigers return to Punt Road following a 21-point comeback win over Port Melbourne which kept their finals light flickering.
Tom Lynch's group sits 10th with a 10-7 record and will head into the weekend on a three-game skid.
A win would see North Melbourne book a Wildcard berth, while a draw would also extend its season further into August.
However, with Saturday's opponents (9-7-1) sitting below the Kangaroos in 11th, a loss for the royal blue and white would push them out of the top 10.
Wildcard Round
Wildcard Round will feature two matches. The team that finishes the home-and-away season in seventh position on the ladder will play the team that finishes 10th, while eighth will take on ninth.
The highest-ranked winner in Wildcard Round will advance to the second elimination final as the seventh-placed team, with the lowest-ranked winner in Wildcard Round to progress to the first elimination final as the eighth-placed team.
The top-six teams on the ladder at the conclusion of the season will have a bye during Wildcard Round and will advance directly through to either a qualifying final or elimination final.
