Sandilands left the ground early in the third term and did not return after he was accidentally poked in his left eye.
He returned to Perth on Sunday after staying in Adelaide following the match, where the injury was examined by a local eye specialist.
Sandilands visited a Perth specialist on Monday and was cleared of any serious or permanent damage to his eye.
Fremantle General Manager of Football Operations Chris Bond said the club’s medical advice was that Sandilands take it easy for the next few days.
“We expect Aaron to be right to play against North Melbourne on Sunday,” he said.
