North Melbourne has picked up versatile tall Brynn Teakle with pick No.15 in the 2024 AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft.

The 204cm Western Australian primarily plays in the ruck but can swing forward and hit the scoreboard.

Teakle was scooped up in the 2022 AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft by Port Adelaide where he played six games, making his debut against the Swans in Round 14 of that year.

After his stint with the Power came to an end at the conclusion of the 2023 campaign, Teakle returned to East Fremantle and has been dominating in the WAFL throughout 2024's opening months.

"Brynn has been around for a while, he was mid-season (Draft) at Port Adelaide a couple of years ago. He played some good footy early there before copping a couple of injuries and unfortunately getting delisted," national recruiting and retention manager Will Thursfield said.

"He went back to East Freo where he has got physically stronger and has proven to be the most dominant big man in that league.

"He has rucked high minutes, shown he can go forward and take a mark and kick a goal. He’s going to provide us a really good option in a ready-to-go sense."
