North Melbourne’s coteries program has celebrated a new milestone in 2024, recording over 100 coterie members for the first time in the club’s history.

The 101 members span three coterie groups – the President’s Club, Match Committee and Shinboner Club – and have contributed almost $1 million to the club this year.

With a focus on philanthropy and the long-term vision of North Melbourne, the President’s Club has given the club the flexibility to continue to invest in its football programs and Arden Street facilities. At the same time, members enjoy tailored benefits and direct access to the club’s leaders, including North Melbourne president Dr Sonja Hood AM. 

The Match Committee receive unrivalled access to the club’s inner sanctum and coaching panel, including special matchday experiences and insight into the gameplan and football strategy, whilst contributing to the club's ongoing success.

The Shinboner Club – North Melbourne’s largest coterie group – enjoy several intimate events with the playing group and coaches throughout the season, along with inner-sanctum access to the club’s Arden Street facilities. 

North Melbourne president Dr Sonja Hood AM thanked the club’s coterie groups for their incredible support.

“Our fans are among the most passionate and loyal in the competition, and our growing coterie membership base is another great example of this,” Hood said.

“To have over 100 coterie members for the first time is an incredible milestone for the club.

“We couldn’t do what we do without the support and generosity of our coterie groups, with their significant contribution vital to our ability to build sustained success across both our men’s and women’s football programs and strengthen our position off the field, too.

“This group of some of North Melbourne’s most influential supporters also continue to invest in players’ wellbeing with off-field opportunities and connections.”

To celebrate the milestone and recognise the ongoing passion and support of its coterie members, the club has introduced a virtual honour board.
