North Melbourne will challenge the sanctions offered to forward Paul Curtis and captain Jy Simpkin at Tuesday night's AFL Tribunal.
Goalsneak Curtis faces a potential three-match suspension after being charged with rough conduct for his tackle during the second quarter of Saturday's hard-fought loss to Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.
The tackle resulted in a concussion for Power defender Josh Sinn, who was substituted after the incident.
The Match Review Officer graded the incident as careless conduct with high contact and severe impact, drawing a three-game sanction with no reduction for an early plea.
Curtis was among the Kangaroos' best as they clawed their way back into the Round 7 match, finishing with three goals.

If the ban stands, Curtis will miss Thursday night's match against Essendon, plus matches against Brisbane and Richmond.
North Melbourne captain Simpkin was hit with a fine for instigating a melee during the third quarter of Saturday's game.
Port Adelaide youngster Jason Horne-Francis, Simpkin's former teammate at the Kangaroos, was also fined for the same offence.
