North Melbourne’s Finn O’Sullivan has been named the Telstra AFL Rising Star nominee for Round 15, following a strong performance in Saturday’s 11-point win over Carlton at the MCG.

The half-back flanker was rewarded for a solid game, which included a season-high 18 disposals going at over 77 per cent efficiency.

The 19-year-old has only missed one match so far in his debut season, after the Kangaroos selected him with the second overall pick in the 2024 AFL Draft.

He has averaged 13 disposals, while his composure under pressure has been a standout feature for a first-year player.

Hailing from Koroit in Victoria's south-west, O’Sullivan played his junior football for Vic Country and the Oakleigh Chargers.

O’Sullivan is the first Roo to receive an AFL Rising Star nomination this season following George Wardlaw, Colby McKercher and Jackson Archer’s nominations in 2024, and Harry Sheezel’s win in 2023.
