The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos will tune up for their 2025 NAB AFLW premiership defence with a practice match against Essendon.
The Bombers were finalists in 2024, while the Kangaroos completed an unbeaten season to secure their first AFLW Premiership.
The game will be Roos fans' first opportunity to see the club's new recruits in action, including two-time All Australian Eilish Sheerin - a trade arrival from Richmond - and former Docker Ariana Hetherington.
The game will be played at Avalon Airport Oval in Melbourne's west on Saturday, August 2.
Fans will be able to watch a live stream of the match on nmfc.com.au, while entry will be free for Kangaroos fans attending the game in person.
The Roos will also take part in match simulation training against the Western Bulldogs one week earlier on Friday, July 25, at Mission Whitten Oval.
The Kangaroos begin their AFLW premiership defence with what shapes as a testing trip to Geelong on Saturday, August 16.
