Debutant Zac Banch will start as North Melbourne's substitute for Saturday's game against Sydney at the SCG.

It was revealed on Thursday that Banch will make his North Melbourne debut, becoming Shinboner number 1073.

Star midfielder Luke Davies-Uniacke is among four inclusions for the Kangaroos, having recovered fully after suffering a concussion in Round 17's loss to the Western Bulldogs.

Callum Coleman-Jones has been selected to replace ruck Tristan Xerri, whose three-match ban for striking was upheld by the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night.

It will be Coleman-Jones' first AFL game since he ruptured his Achilles tendon on Good Friday last season.

Brynn Teakle, another ruck option for senior coach Alastair Clarkson, has also been named for what will be his season debut for the Roos, after he played 11 games last season.

Bailey Scott, Finnbar Maley and Robert Hansen jnr (all omitted) are this weeks outs, alongside Xerri. 

Teakle is named on the interchange bench with Jacob Konstanty, 50-gamer Will Phillips and last weekend's four-goal forward Cooper Harvey.

Hansen jnr, Maley and Zane Duursma are this week's emergencies.
