A refreshed North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos squad will take on the Western Bulldogs in Friday night's match simulation at Whitten Oval.

Trade arrival Ariana Hetherington will be among the new Roos in action against opposition for the first time ahead of the 2025 NAB AFLW Season.

Kangaroos fans will also have their first opportunity to see recruits Claire Mahony, Tessa Boyd and Amy Gavin Mangan in competitive action.

A host of premiership stars will also run out against the Bulldogs, including new captain Jasmine Garner and vice-captain Ash Riddell.

A tall who can play at either end of the ground, Hetherington may also be another ruck option for the Roos in the absence of regular ruck Emma King.

King (hamstring) is among a handful of experienced Kangaroos who will miss the match sim as they recover from pre-season injuries.

Former skipper Emma Kearney, forward Alice O'Loughlin and defender Sarah Wright are also sidelined, while Roo fans must also wait to see recruit Eilish Sheerin in action as she recovers from a knee knock.

Entry is free for fans wishing to attend Friday night's hitout. The opening bounce at Whitten Oval is at 6pm AEST.
