North Melbourne’s AFL list is set to hit the ground running when the squad regroups for pre-season in November.

Head of Performance Kevin White said the club was approaching the off-season with a largely healthy squad, well-placed to lay down a strong platform for the 2027 campaign.

White has provided an update on the players who finished the 2026 season with ongoing injury concerns.

Blake Thredgold - Foot
"Blake enters the off-season period with great loading under his belt from the last eight weeks of group training. He is excited to enter into our pre-season program unrestricted with the squad."

Tom Powell - Groin
"Tom has had some medical intervention at the end of the season to put his groin in a strong position over this period.

"He will be largely unrestricted in his off-season running and conditioning program, and will be in a modified program when he rejoins group training in November."

Jackson Archer - Knee 
"Jackson is one we will build slowly, given some recent knee swelling that we are managing on top of the significant amount of football he has missed across the last few years.

"He will remain in a rehab reconditioning program across the early pre-season phase, while we then graduate his group involvement once he is in a good position with his football conditioning and knee status."

Toby Pink - Shoulder 
"Toby will follow an unrestricted running conditioning program over the off-season while starting to make progress on his upper body strength.

"He will resume non-contact drills in November, ahead of key strength testing criteria towards the end of November."

Zane Duursma, who has informed North Melbourne of his desire to seek a move to another AFL club in the upcoming Trade Period, is also recovering well following shoulder surgery, White said.

Zane Duursma - Shoulder
"Zane is in a position where he can really attack his running conditioning over the break in this early phase.

"We envisage he will then resume non-contact group training on his return, until he clears key strength markers towards the end of December."
