North Melbourne has achieved a membership record in the club’s VFL/AFL Centenary year, with 56,283 members signing on in 2025.

The new record is an overall nine per cent increase compared with 2024, when the club signed 50,628 members.

The Kangaroos received a significant boost to the growing membership tally after midfielder Luke Davies-Uniacke committed his future to the club, putting pen to paper on a seven-year contract extension in April.

5,350 supporters became members, taking advantage of a $9 member offer following the star’s commitment.

The club’s overall crowd attendance across the home and away season increased for a fifth consecutive year. The attendance jumped by more than 13% against 2024 numbers.

The Good Friday SuperClash was the most attended home game of the season, attracting a sold-out crowd of over 46,000 fans. This was Marvel Stadium’s second highest crowd of the season.

The club achieved a 33% increase year on year in broadcast viewership, an average of 491,000, up from 371,000 in 2024. The club’s two Thursday night free-to-air fixtures in Rounds 8 and 17 each attracted over 950,000 viewers.

“Achieving this membership milestone and smashing our previous record is a testament to the loyalty and faith of our members”, North Melbourne CEO Jen Watt said.

“As we reflect on the AFL season, there were some memorable moments. In what has become a highlight of our season, the Good Friday SuperClash achieved a sold-out crowd. The club’s VFL/AFL Centenary was celebrated in a Thursday night blockbuster in round 17 and the club successfully launched the first year of our agreement to play two home games in Western Australia.

“Thank you to each and every one of our 56,283 members who continue to support the club. Whether it’s buying a membership, attending a game or tuning in on TV, every bit of your support helps our club to grow and get better.

“Excitingly, in 2026, we will be bringing two more home games back to our Melbourne heartland, which give our members nine opportunities to see us at Marvel Stadium.

“But before then, we hope you all get behind our incredible AFLW team as they continue to set the standard in the W competition.

“We’ve already surpassed 5,265 AFLW members, which is already a record for the club, and we hope many more of you continue to get on board.”
