North Melbourne has secured the future of two key players, with defender Jasmine Ferguson and forward Blaithin Bogue signing contract extensions.
Premiership player Ferguson has committed to the club for a further two seasons, keeping her in the royal blue and white until at least the end of 2027, while Bogue has signed a one-year deal, extending through the 2026 season.
A rock in the Kangaroos' backline, Ferguson has been a mainstay of the team since her debut in 2022, missing only one game.
The 26-year-old was recruited from Collingwood’s VFLW program, where she earned selection in the 2021 VFLW Team of the Year.
Ferguson is also known for her leadership qualities and strong connection with her teammates as a member of the club's leadership group.
Bogue, a dynamic forward, has not missed a game since her Round 1 debut this season.
The Irishwoman spent last year developing and learning the team’s system to now lead the club’s goalkicking for the first half of the season with 12 goals in six games.
Bogue joined the club in the Supplementary Selection Period following the 2023 season, becoming the fourth international player on North Melbourne's list.
General manager of women’s football Erin Lorenzini said the club was delighted to have both players commit their futures.
"Jasmine is a key member of our backline, so her commitment for two more years is a huge boost for us," Lorenzini said.
"Her leadership and the respect she has from the playing group are a testament to her character, both on and off the field.
"For Blaithin to come in and make such an impact speaks volumes to her dedication and ability to adapt to the game over her time here.
"She is an exciting player to watch, and we can’t wait to see what she continues to achieve."
