Winger Taylah Gatt is eyeing a return to action before the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos begin their AFLW finals campaign.
Gatt has been sidelined with an ankle injury since Round 5's win over Brisbane, but is likely to enter the selection frame next week when North Melbourne prepares to face Hawthorn in the final round of the home and away season.
"Taylah's completing main training sessions and is moving really well," North Melbourne senior AFLW physiotherapist Billy Williams said.
"She was very close to being available this week. However, from a load management perspective and given the five-day turnaround to Round 12, we will hold her back the extra week."
"We're all really looking forward to having her running the wing again."
Defender Eilish Sheerin is 2-3 weeks away from a comeback and is stepping up her running as she recovers from a hamstring injury.
"Her strength testing has been really positive this week and she's on track with her rehab," Williams said.
"Her high-speed running will be progressed next week as she grades back into more team training."
Midfielder Mia King continues to recover from the PCL injury she sustained against Richmond in Round 9 and is now walking comfortably.
"As this week progresses, we will keep monitoring her to see when a return to running may happen," Williams said.
"That'll hopefully be sometime over the next week."
