North Melbourne is proud to announce a new partnership with Latrobe Health Services, a collaboration dedicated to strengthening community health, wellbeing, and inclusion.
Founded in 1950 and with over 110,000 members, Latrobe Health Services is a member-owned, not-for-profit private health insurer servicing Australians across the country.
The partnership sees Latrobe Health Services become an Official Partner of The Huddle and the Official Health Insurance Partner of the Club with Latrobe Health’s brand proudly shown across AFL and AFLW coaching staff as the club’s official Coaches Partner.
As the AFL’s largest community program, The Huddle has empowered close to 200,000 young people since 2010, fostering confidence and connection within multicultural, migrant, and regional communities.
A cornerstone of this new partnership is Latrobe Health Services’ support of ‘Huddle Up in Community Hubs.’ This initiative delivers social sport and active recreation programs specifically for women from migrant, First Nations, and culturally diverse backgrounds across Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland, with further expansion into South Australia.
"We are thrilled to welcome Latrobe Health Services to the Kangaroos and Huddle family,” North Melbourne CEO Jen Watt said.
"The first moment we met with Latrobe Health Services, we got a sense of our shared values. Sport has a unique power to unite people, and by working together, this partnership feels like it can have true impact.
"This aligns perfectly with The Huddle’s commitment to build resilient, healthy, and inclusive communities."
Latrobe Health Services CEO Ian Whitehead said the partnership will boost Latrobe Health’s ongoing support of grassroots initiatives across the country.
"Through this partnership, we’ll deliver practical initiatives, support and connection to Roos fans, families and communities, both on and off the field," Whitehead said.
"Latrobe Health Services has always cared about helping communities thrive. Working with the Roos and their community arm, The Huddle, we’re excited to back programs that bring people together, support wellbeing and create a real sense of belonging for young people and their families across Australia."
Latrobe Health Services will also play a supporting role in the club’s SuperClash, helping maximise fundraising results for the Good Friday Appeal.
