North Melbourne defender Jackson Archer has extended his career with the Kangaroos, signing a new two-year contract.
The deal ensures the 23-year-old will remain in the royal blue and white until at least the end of 2028.
A fearless competitor, Archer has played 26 games for the club since being taken with pick No.59 as a father-son selection in the 2021 AFL Draft.
A frustrating run with injuries and suspension restricted him to three games last season after a promising 2024.
In January he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, cruelly sidelining him for the 2026 season.
North Melbourne’s head of football talent Brady Rawlings praised Archer's resilience and work ethic.
"We are delighted Jackson has committed his future to the club," Rawlings said.
"He is a model professional who is already emerging as a young leader, so it's no surprise he is approaching his rehab with the utmost determination and professionalism.
"We expect him to play an important role in our defence long into the future.
"We can't wait to see him back on the track and competing for the club next season and beyond."
